Rogiet Commmunity Shop & Cafe

Since the cafe first opened we have been providing a space where everyone is welcome. We know that for some people the cafe has been their lifesaver. A permanent cafe and shop will bring more of the community together creating a stronger healthier community

The new Rogiet Community Shop and Cafe is going to be built on community land facing out over the playing fields on Westway Rogiet. The designs are now being drawn for a one storey timber framed Community Shop and Café.

Local people have told us they would like to see the following on offer in the community shop and cafe:

• Healthy, low cost, locally sourced food
• Refillable products from pasta to cereal, to washing up liquid and shampoo
• Fresh local veg
• Locally sourced food and drink
• Home made meals to take away
• Cafe offering teas and coffees, cakes, breakfasts, snacks, sandwiches and soup
• Book corner, toy swap
• Wifi
• Zero packaging

The shop and cafe will offer paid and voluntary roles and provide further opportunities to build socially inclusive and supportive networks.

We have many skilled local people who have offered to help us make the shop and cafe a reality.
